Bahlul SI · How it works
From a scanned page to an answer with its source.
Super Intelligence (SI) on your server is a pipeline you can inspect: your documents are read and indexed, a question finds the best passages, an open model writes the answer, and the page it came from is shown. No step needs the internet.
Your situation
Documents in every format, in two languages
A typical office holds typed PDFs, Word and Excel files, scans of signed circulars, and photocopies of photocopies. The headings are in English, the body in Bangla and the tables in both. Some older files use Bangla fonts that no search tool reads. Bahlul SI does not need them cleaned up first. It reads what it can, lists what it cannot, and the SI proof tells you how well it does on your own files before you buy anything.
Step 1
Your documents are read
Bahlul SI takes text from PDF, Word and Excel files. Scanned pages go through optical character recognition (OCR) with Bangla language data. Pages the scan has damaged are listed, so the document owner can replace them or accept that they cannot be read. The documents come from a folder you choose, a file share or your document system. A named document owner approves the set, and nothing is copied off the server.
Step 2
An index of your own documents, not the internet
Each document is split into passages, and each passage is stored with the document name, the page and the access group that may see it. This index is the only place Bahlul SI looks. It has no connection to the internet and holds nothing from any other organisation's files.
When a question comes in, the search finds the best passages the person may see. Only those passages go to the language model, never whole files. The model writes a short answer from them and names the document and the page. The answer comes back in seconds over your local network.
Permissions
Each person sees only what they may open
Staff sign in with the accounts they already have. Bahlul SI links to your directory (Active Directory or LDAP) for single sign-on and reads each person's roles and groups from it. Every passage in the index carries its access group, so an answer can only be built from passages the person asking may see.
Ask about a file outside your groups and the answer is a polite refusal that points to the proper channel. The test bench checks this with questions written for the purpose. Access changes are made in your directory by your own administrators, and a named person approves every change to what a group may see.
The log
Who asked what, with the sources used
Every question is recorded with the user, the time, the question, the sources the answer used and the model version that wrote it. The log is append-only, can be copied to your own log system, and is kept for as long as you decide. If a fault needs us to look at it, we work from a masked extract, with names and identifiers replaced, and delete it when the fault is closed.
When the answer is not there
It says so, and does not guess
If your documents do not hold the answer, Bahlul SI says so plainly and points to the office that can help. If the only page that holds the answer is a scan too damaged to read, it says the page cannot be read. If the question is one it must refuse, it refuses and says where to ask instead.
This is tested, not hoped for. About 30 of the 200 questions in an SI proof have no answer in the documents, and a guess on any of them scores zero. See the Bangla test bench.
Models
Open models that you can switch
Bahlul SI runs open language models on your server. The proof's test bench chooses the model for your documents from the candidates that fit your configuration; it is not chosen from a brochure. The model's licence is checked for your use and recorded, with the file's checksum, in the system card you receive at handover. When a better open model appears, you can switch after a re-test on your own questions, without rebuilding anything. Updates arrive on checked media, not over the internet.
What stays with a person
A named approver at every gate
A named person at your organisation approves the documents Bahlul SI may read, who may see them, the pass mark, go-live and every change of model or access. Staff who act on an answer still open the page it came from. Bahlul SI can give a wrong answer; the design assumes it and shows its work so that a person can catch it.
The first step
See it on your own documents
The SI briefing is half a day with your leaders and a live demo on ten of your own sample documents, BDT 1 lakh. The SI proof then runs everything above on your documents for three weeks, BDT 5.5 lakh, and ends with a written recommendation: buy the server, run a larger pilot, or stop. Proposed 2027 prices, before VAT.
FAQ
Questions we are asked
Does it use the internet to answer?
No. The index, the model and the log sit on your server, which has no route to the internet. Staff reach it over your local network, and branch offices over your own wide-area link.
Can we connect it to our other systems?
Yes, through an SI pilot. The first set-up connects your documents and your staff directory; connections to other systems are designed, tested and priced separately.
Is the answer always right?
No. It can be wrong, which is why every answer shows its page, every system is tested on your documents before go-live, and a person approves anything that matters.
Bring the files nobody can search
Ten sample documents that are not confidential are enough for a live demo. The first call is free, in Bangla or English.
